Gemma Atkinson says 'spot the northerner' as she mocks Gorka Marquez over holiday purchase and shares vow over his response

Gemma Atkinson has jokingly told fans to 'spot the northerner' as she shared a fresh snap from her recent holiday which showed off her brilliant purchase. The Hits Radio host mocked her fiance Gorka Marquez as she shared a bikini-clad snap of herself perched on an inflatable unicorn in an inviting pool.

Gemma, 38, and her Strictly Come Dancing star beau Gorka, 32, had been soaking up the sun with their daughter, Mia, on what was their final holiday as a family of three. The couple announced back in January that Mia, three, was set to become a big sister as they were expecting their second child together.

After warning her fans that the holiday 'spam' wasn't over after she took to her main Instagram grid with a string of holiday snaps showing the trio enjoying their time on the beach and in the sea, Bury-born Gemma returned to her social media profile with a new pic.

As mentioned, she could be seen sitting on a large inflatable unicorn and looked gorgeous while doing so so as she sported a gingham two-piece bikini that showed off her blossoming baby bump while she swept her blonde locks back into a ponytail. Three-year-old Mia could also be seen in the water looking up at her mum.

"'Is it my turn yet mum?' Absolutely not hun. Unless you have your own 14 Euros?" Gemma typed in the caption with a crying laughing emoji. She then ended up mocking her husband-to-be by sharing his reaction to her holiday purchase. "This unicorn obv came home with us. Gorka asked why saying 'what da heck we gone do with that Gemah??'

"I said because 14 euros Gorka! And it’ll be nice in the summer to just put out in the garden!" She then ended her post by writing: "Spot the northerner," with a winking face and another crying laughing emoji. Gorka saw the funny side as he quipped in the comments: "For the 24h of uk summer."

But Gorka did appear to enjoy use of the Unicron as he posted his own string of snaps to his Instagram grid showing him lounging on the inflatable while showing off his impressive collection of tattoos. "Lets get it for Mía we said…" he wrote alongside the pics. "I guess it's the best 14 euros @glouiseatkinson spent in holiday," he added before taking a pop at Gemma.

"Apart from the extra KGs to be able to bring it back home," he wrote. But she was quick to defend herself as she typed in the comments section: "I will sit on that unicorn most afternoons on Mat leave JUST to get my euros worth."

And fans also saw the funny side. @jojosmitty02 joked: "14 Euros: it’s adopted into the family, given a name and gets invited to all family socials." @katebakerr echoed: "14 euros. It’s family now." @hayes.squared posted: "Adore this!! Such a northern thing!" @jlouhu added: "It's far too fabulous to leave behind...and in any case if you've paid 14 Euros for it then it has to come back with you! (I'm a southerner - well an East Anglian to be precise - and I'm still with you!)."

And Gorka also got in on the action (Gemma Atkinson Instagram)

Ahead of their son's arrival, Gemma, 38, and Gorka, 32, whisked Mia off for some quality family time during the half-term break. But all good things must come to an end and on Monday evening (April 10), Gemma was reflecting on the end of their holiday and looking ahead to what's next for them as a family.

Posting a video of her and Mia taking in the view from the sea, the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star wrote on her Instagram Story: "Last sunset in the sea for a while..." adding a face holding back tears emoji and a red heart. She then followed up the post with an image of her and her little girl standing with the sand between their toes as the sea rocked back and forth in front of them.

Adding a GIF which read: "My little lady," Gemma then wrote: "Crazy feelings of emotions right now. Knowing this is the last time our holiday is just us, but also the excitement of the next one with my son as well." She then added: "Parenting is a full on rollercoaster indeed."
