Gemma Atkinson reveals instruction to Gorka Marquez ahead of birth of second child

Gemma Atkinson has shared her clear instruction for Gorka Marquez as she eagerly awaits the arrival of her son. The Hits Radio host is heavily pregnant with her second child with her Strictly Come Dancing star fiance.

Gemma, 38, and Gorka, 32, announced the joyous news they were expecting a baby boy back in January and Gemma said back in April that she had been told her 'little man' could arrive at "any time from the back few weeks in June to the front few weeks in July" after being asked when she was due.

However, she did confirm over the weekend that she is now 38 weeks pregnant and her son's arrival could happen any day now. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (July 5), Gemma shared how she had been to the hospital for what will likely be a 'final' check-up and spoke about how she was approached by another expectant mum.

As she shared the story, it led to Bury-born Gemma speaking about her upcoming reality TV show. Gemma and Gorka announced last month that they have let the cameras in to film her private life for the very first time and shared the trailer for Gemma & Gorka: Life Behind the Lens ahead of its release this summer.

"We’re so excited to announce our brand new show “Gemma & Gorka: Life behind the lens” which will air on @wtvchannel and @uktvplay this summer!" the pair, who met when Gemma was a contestant on BBC One's Strictly back in 2017, revealed. They went on to explain how the 'wonderful crew' had been on hand to document their second pregnancy journey "showing not only the absolute utter chaos of our day-to-day lives at home juggling work, dogs, toddlers and hormones."

She also confirmed: "There’s no glam squad, no script and no filters. We agreed the only way to do this, was to keep it real, keep it relatable and just hope for the best. You’ll be joining us at home, on our pre and postnatal appointments, meeting pelvic floor specialists and having the in-depth chats about VBACs and the everyday challenges we all face as parents, because if we’re being honest, we’re all just winging it aren’t we!"

Gemma addressed the question on her Instagram Story (Gemma Atkinson Instagram)

In response to her videos, Gemma was asked: "Are you going to film [the] labour?" to which the mum-of-two-to-be had a very direct response and shared how she has given Gorka one main instruction when it comes to their son being born. "Gosh no!" she typed on her Instagram Stories alongside a screengrab of the image.

"That would put everyone off their meals I'm sure!" she went on to write with a crying laughing emoji. "No one needs to see me crowing. Even Gorka has instructions to stay by my head and well away from the ring of fire that'll prob look like the bellow," she added alongside a crying laughing emoji and a GIF.

She then shared a clip from the Rocky film series of Sylvester Stalone in character with Michael "Mickey" Goldmill, the main tritagonist in Rocky II. "I've told him whatever the outcome, be it my hoped for VBAC or the same as last time, he's to be the Micky to my Rocky," Gemma typed with a red heart before echoing the scene she shared, writing: "Always get back up."
