Giving birth makes every pregnant woman nervous, but Gemma Atkinson has just discovered one of the least appealing joys of labour.
The Hollyoaks alum, 34, was flicking through baby books when she discovered that she might tear her intimate area during childbirth.
Gem is expecting her first baby with boyfriend Gorka Marquez , who she met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017.
She spent the Saturday of her bank holiday weekend reading up on becoming a mum, and shared the scary info she'd found with her 988,000 Instagram followers.
On her Instagram stories Gemma wrote: "Baby books are fine until you read the part where you 'may tear from your vagina to your bum.'"

Clearly terrified by the thought, the actress put a string of worried-looking emojis in the same post.
Gemma and Gorka have been keeping their fans updated every step of the way throughout her pregnancy.
She has been lauded as 'honest' and a 'breath of fresh air by fans' for opening up about the realities of being a mum-to-be.
Gemma's Instagram is normally filled with fitness videos and bikini shots, but last week she tucked into a huge pizza because she felt "sick and exhausted".
She said: "Today, I wanted to share one of the days when I’m NOT doing my training and NOT having my green juice and NOT doing my meditating because I do have those days as well.
"Y’day my day started at 4am and finished at 8pm. I was so exhausted I felt sick."
Clearly thrilled about becoming a dad, Gorka shared an adorable picture of himself kissing Gemma's growing bump this week.
