Gemma Atkinson opens up to fans on her routine in coronavirus pandemic

Doting dog owner Gemma Atkinson has opened up about her routine during the coronavirus pandemic.

Gemma, who has two dogs Ollie and Norman, has been asked by fans how she’s dealing with social distancing.

The former Emmerdale actress from Bury, who presents the drivetime show on Manchester’s Hits Radio, has also explained how things are operating at work while people are being urged to keep their distance.

Writing on her Instagram Stories she said: “Lots asking about what I’m doing dog walk wise.

“I still take the boys out but to places where there’s hardly anyone else and of course we keep to social distancing.”

And addressing the work situation she wrote: “I’m working tomorrow, our building normally has around 140 people in but they are working from home and we only now have around five in at any one time all of which are social distancing.”

Gemma, 35, who has an eight-month-old daughter Mia with her partner Gorka Marquez, urged people to stop social gatherings in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We HAVE to stop these big group parties and get togethers,” she pleaded.

“It’s common sense.”

Gemma recently took a light-hearted look at the situation with a hilarious post on Instagram about herself and Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka in isolation..

“What Gorks thought our isolation would be like VS what our isolation is like,” she wrote, sharing a throwback photo of herself posing in a lacy underwear set and a current photo of herself holding Mia in a onesie.
