Gemma Atkinson hits back at 'perfect parents' and their advice in furious rant

Gemma Atkinson has hit back at people who have given her unsolicited parenting advice, after she gave birth to daughter Mia just two months ago.

Strictly star Gemma shared just a snapshot of the advice she had received from parents on social media, after giving birth.

Gemma posted a photo to Instagram that said: "On your mark, get set, go f*** yourself.”

She then captioned the photo with a list of the advice she'd received, including "I hope you’re breast feeding. Get a proper pram and she doesn’t need two blankets."  - reports the Manchester Evening News.

Gemma added: "Above is just a small list of what’s been said to me on here since having Mia. She’s not even eight-weeks-old.

"I’m absolutely all for getting help and advice! But there’s ways to do it. So to those people who seem to be the unqualified experts when it comes to being a mum, the above is for you.

"Print it and hang it on the wall next to your perfect parent award."

Former Love Island star Jessica Hayes, who gave birth to a baby boy Presley in June, said: "Preach !! Mum police are the worst... bored of it."

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Christine McGuinness told her: "Heard it all before. Raise her your way, she's your baby!"

Another parent applauded: "Couldn’t have said this better myself. I am losing my eyesight and carry my nine week old all the time.

"The amount of times I have heard people telling me I am spoiling him as I won’t be able to put him down is ridiculous.

"I can’t even see him in a pram and I like carrying him! Our babies, our rules."

Gemma, 34, recently defended having a C-section after being told it isn't 'proper labour.'

She says she was left wondering if she had 'failed' by having a cesarean delivery after a woman made a comment in jest about the birth.

She said: "She wasn’t being nasty, she said it in jest and she was actually really lovely, but it did get me thinking when I got home.

"Had I failed? Had I not done it 'properly'? After a good chat with myself I came to the conclusion that the only 'proper' way to have a baby is the way that’s safest for you and your baby."

Mia made a dramatic entry to the world at the Royal Bolton Hospital on July 4 and health professionals took action after Mia's heart rate dropped with every contraction.
