Gemma Atkinson give two-word answer after she's told Gorka Marquez is a 'lucky guy'

Gemma Atkinson couldn't help but laugh as she responded to comments that her fiance Gorka Marquez is a 'lucky man'. The couple, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, are currently expecting their second child together.

Gemma, 38, and Gorka, 32, who are already doting parents to their three-year-old daughter Mia, announced the joyous news in an Instagram post last month. They shared the news alongside a string of black and white images which Gemma and dancer Gorka both posted to their Instagram pages.

One image showed Gemma gazing at her blossoming bump before she grinned for a selfie with her husband-to-be and their little girl as they wait to become a family-of-four - or six if you include Gemma's beloved dogs Ollie and Norman.

"Impossible to hide my belly any longer. I’ve officially 'popped'," she wrote in the caption to her millions of followers. "Our baby boy will be joining our family later this year." She added: "We feel so incredibly blessed and Grateful to be on this journey again. Mia is absolutely thrilled! Although we may need to do some negotiating on names, as so far she’s adamant he’s going to be called Barbie."

Radio and TV star Gemma, from Bury, has since been offering her loyal followers updated on her pregnancy, including revealing that her pregnancy announcement may not have happened when it did but that she and Gorka 'got there first' after one of the 14 close friends and family members they told tried to sell the story.

But away from her pregnancy chats, Gemma had a very clear, two-word response when discussing sexy underwear with her co-host. Speaking on their Hits Radio show on Valentine's Day, Mike Toolan reminded Gemma of the time she helped him pick out a gift for a partner.

"The number one mistake that men make is getting the wrong underwear," Mike said appearing to be reading the statement from a news story or press release. "Do you remember..." he started to say before Gemma started laughing and said: "I knew you were going to say this."

He then continued: "Do you remember Gem, a few years ago, I chose to go underwear shopping with you?" Gemma chipped in: "You enrolled me as a stylist." Mike explained: "You were the stylist and she hated it. Do you know what she actually said to me? 'What do you think I am?'"

They both burst out laughing as Gemma quipped: "Oh, well she's never lived then, has she?" to which Mike said: "There were holes in it." Gemma replied: "Like they've been in a moth cupboard." Mike then revealed: "I didn't see her for that long after that."

Gemma commented: "I hope you didn't tell her that I -," as Mike jumped in: "I did. I told her it's that Gemma Atkinson off Emmerdale I said." He then added: "Gorka's a lucky guy," to which Gemma laughed and said: "Not anymore. For about the first four months of our relationship. Now it's granny pants or nothing."

Gemma and Gorka exchanged sweet Valentine's messages earlier this week (Gorka Marquez Instagram)

Earlier this week, Gemma left Gorka emotional as he found a Valentine's Day card his wife-to-be had hidden in his luggage as he headed off to work out his upcoming tour, Firedance, with fellow Strictly pro Karen Hauer. Posting a black and white picture of the card to his Instagram Story, Gorka penned: "She hid it inside my luggage," alongside a weary face emoji and a love heart eyes emoji.

The front of the card read: "For my other half. Life makes more sense since I found you. You're my missing piece and the only one I'll ever want by my side." Gemma also shared a short but sweet tribute on Instagram to her man, who she met when she was a contestant on Strictly in 2017 with romance later blossoming between the pair on the BBC One show's live tour.

The former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star shared a montage of images and clips which her iPhone had handily created from 2018, the year the loved-up pair went official with their relationship. "How apt that my phone made a portraits video today and every picture is 2018 pre parenthood when we actually had the time to drop everything and have long weekends away exploring," Gemma typed alongside the video with a crying laughing emoji.

She went on to say: "I'm glad we crammed so much in, and excited we have so much left to do as a Family. HVD @gorka_marquez I love you." And Gorka was quick to reply, writing in the comments: "I love you more."
