Gemma Atkinson has bitten the bullet and has finally given into the idea of braces.
The former Emmerdale actress, 36, took to Instagram to unveil her new clear braces on Thursday.
The blonde beauty filmed herself sitting in the dentist’s chair in a cheeky video which she captioned: “Today is the day I get braces.”
Gemma appeared to be overwhelmed with excitement about her new look as she filmed herself in high spirits ahead of the procedure.
She later took to her stories to detail her journey ahead with Invisalign braces.
“I’ve been told to expect some discomfort from day 2 to 5,” she wrote on her social media account.
“I’ve also been told I will have to probably lay off the snacks because people can’t be bothered to keep taking them in and out.
“I may be an exception though, as I love me some snacks,” she quipped.
It comes just days after the fitness fanatic was spotted wearing a sparkly engagement ring for the first time while on a stroll with fiancé Gorka Marquez.
Gemma has been in a romantic relationship with the professional dancer for over three years.
They began a romantic relationship in 2018 after first meeting while working on the 2017 series of Strictly Come Dancing .
The pair welcomed daughter Mia in July 2019 and went on to announced their engagement on February 14 this year.
Gemma first announced their engagement on Instagram on February 14 with a selfie of the couple taken by Gorka, with herself behind him kissing his chief and showing off a shot of the ring.
She captioned the image: "Valentine’s forever...Of course I said yes [red heart emoji]"].
