Gemma Atkinson debuts stunning change as she's set to 'return to Hollyoaks'

Gemma Atkinson has debuted a stunning hair change after it's been reported she is returning to her acting roots.

The Hits Radio presenter took to Instagram on Thursday to show off her new look.

She had headed to her usual hair haunt, Emily Rose Monk's hair salon in Manchester.

Gemma, 36, kept her shoulder-length blonde locks in tact but made a change which fans were loving.

The mum-of-one added a new fringe to her look and shared a couple of gorgeous selfies to show it off.

"New hair day," Gemma wrote to her followers. "Curtesy of @emilyrosemonkhair (I wasn’t sure if the cool kids look serious or smile so did both)."

Presenter Steph McGovern was among the first to comment, writing: "Oh yes! I love this," followed by a red heart emoji.

And fiancé Gorka Marquez's former Strictly partner Katie McGlynn simply added heart eyes emojis.

Strictly's pro dancer Karen Hauer simply added: "Cutie," while John Whaite added: "So beautiful."

Fans were also quick to flood Gemma with compliments.

"Gorgeous hair dooo! Oooo makes me want to have a fringe again! Enjoy your new dooo!" one shared.

Another said: "Looks fab, really suits you."

"Love it. You look stunning as ever," a third added.

A fourth shared: "LOVE your style! Gorgeous."

"It makes you look younger," another replied.

A follower also agreed: "I thought that was an old pic at first. Makes you look younger!"

Gemma is reportedly returning to Hollyoaks (Mersey Television)

It comes as reports suggest Gemma is heading back to Hollyoaks.

According to The Sun, she is set to make a return to the soap 15 years after her exit as Lisa Hunter.

Gemma, who also starred in Emmerdale, appeared in the Channel 4 soap as Lisa from 2001 to 2005.

The character is noted for her storylines including bullying and self-harming.

Lise left the village to start a new life with Ben Davies, played by Marcus Patric, and the pair reprised their roles twice in two spin-off series.

But it ended in disaster when Lisa was kidnapped by her new boss Stella.

As Ben raced to save her, Stella set Lisa free but in a scuffle, Lisa took one of Stella's henchman's guns and as Ben burst into the room, Lisa accidentally shot him dead.
