Gemma and Arg say big bellies and bad knees are holding them back in the bedroom

Gemma Collins and James Argent might have rekindled their romance in recent weeks, but there's one area that hasn't quite returned to full glory - their antics in the bedroom.

During an appearance on late night quiz show Celebrity Juice, the pair opened up about their sex life and admitted things aren't what they used to be.

The Essex twosome blamed their rough patch on Arg's recent weight gain and Gemma's ongoing Dancing on Ice injury.

Recalling the moment Gemma fell flat on her face on the ice, host Keith Lemon asked; "On one of the episodes you fell over didn't you?"

Gemma replied: "Yeah, about twenty times. What happened there, I was so excited because I knew I had about two more seconds until the routine ended so I went a bit extra and started throwing my arms up, even more than normal that we’d practised and if you do that in the routine you throw your body off."

"Did you burn your boobs?" Keith asked her.

"I was in agony," Gemma explained. "It's really affected our personal life. The knees are so bad I can't sort of do anything on them anymore. It's really affected us in the bdroom."

Fellow competitor Michelle Visage, from RuPaul's Drag Race, then offered Gemma some words of advice.

"Let him do the work darling, you don't need to do the work. Let him do it."

But Arg immediately found a problem.

"Yeah, but my belly gets in the way," he confessed.

Last month Arg, told how he was 'desperate' to lose weight after being inspired by his girlfriend.

Gemma shed two stone through a combination of healthy eating and her Dancing on Ice training back in January.

In an interview with the Sun , Arg said: "In regards to my body – I need to work on that. I need to get back in the gym and boxing again.

“I’m desperate to get back on track. I need to work on my fitness that is my number one New Year’s resolution – but I find it so difficult.

"I struggle to get into a routine and structure with my job I’m here, there and everywhere."
