A sweet-natured dog is looking for a new place to call home.
Animal welfare experts are appealing for a new home for Gem, a four-year-old Greyhound currently living at Dogs Trust West Calder.
They say she is a sweet girl who loves company, enjoys being fussed over by everyone she meets and can live with children over the age of 12 years old.
A spokeswoman for Dogs Trust said: “Gem enjoys zoomies around the garden and chasing after her toys – teddies are her favourite. She can often be found curled up in her cosy bed after a busy afternoon of exploring on her walks.
“Like many sighthounds Gem has a strong desire to chase small furries and will need to be walked on her lead and muzzle, she is more than happy with this and it does not stop her ability to sniff out any treats she may find.
“If you think you think you could provide a home for Gem or any of the 50 dogs currently available for rehoming, please contact the centre on 01506 873459.”
