A couple of Kansas City Chiefs receivers are getting some work in during their spare time, and they’re doing it with a soccer player.
The Chiefs are on break between mandatory minicamp and training camp, but players are still hard at work fine-tuning their bodies for the 2019 season. On Monday, former Sporting KC striker Max Rugova posted a picture of himself with Chiefs wideouts Gehrig Dieter and Tyreek Hill. The caption suggests that Rugova, Dieter and Hill are friends and have worked out together before.
A native of Overland Park, Kansas, Rugova plays for the German U-19 club FC Nürnberg, who don’t play another match until later this month. It’s likely that Rugova had a period in which he was able to come home and train in Overland Park. Rugova is a striker, which is a position that needs elite quickness and burst to attack the goal. He shouldn’t have any problem keeping up with Hill and Dieter during a workout.
Hill and Dieter often work out together in Overland Park. They did so last offseason ahead of training camp, and it was featured on Hill’s YouTube channel.
The most interesting things about this photo is that this is the first interaction we’ve seen between a Chiefs player and Hill since the beginning of the child abuse investigation.
