Geelong has maintained its hold on a top-four spot with a hard-fought 21-point win over St Kilda at Docklands to begin round nine.
The Saints paid the price for their poor conversion in front of goal, missing six set shots in a row to start the game, and registering nine behinds before their first goal.
They edged in front by three points at half-time, however, after a three goal second term.
But once Geelong's forward line found its range, the Cats kicked five of the last six goals of the game to run out comfortable winners.
More to come.
