Gee Scott Jr. explains why he chose OSU over LSU, Notre Dame and others

The Ohio State Buckeyes four-star recruit Gee Scott Jr. is coming to Columbus soon next year, and he knew he’d be in the Scarlet and Grey “right away.”

It’s important to note a couple things about Scott.

For starters, he’s a 6-foot-2.5 wide receiver that’s the 13th rated wideout in the class of 2020. Secondly, he’s from the state of Washington so he was heavily recruited from schools out West.

That said, he had offers from Arizona, Pac 12-dominating Washington, LSU, Notre Dame and several other top football programs, but he chose Ohio State, calling it home and mentioning Brian Hartline as well.

Just watch the below video shared by @SportsStarTV and listen to the brief interview for yourself.

“There’s nowhere else I’d want to be” is a terrific testament to how Ohio State treats their recruits and also how welcoming they make such a huge campus feel.

Securing Scott was a huge plus for the Buckeyes.

He helped them move into a top-five recruiting class for next season and should also be a factor in Ohio State continuing to be a force in the Big Ten. With him and four other top wide-receivers all considered top 100 players in the class, OSU is set up to air it out over the next few years.
