Gedson Fernandes names which two Tottenham stars helped him settle and his funniest team-mates

Gedson Fernandes has been talking about his early months at Tottenham Hotspur and who has helped him settle in at the club.

The 21-year-old Portugal international signed for Tottenham during the January transfer window on an 18 month loan deal from Benfica.

Gedson made nine appearances for Jose Mourinho's side before football pressed the pause button in March.

Alasdair Gold's Facebook Live Tottenham Q&A

The Tottenham players returned to group contact training on Thursday after being given permission by both the Premier League and the government ahead of a reported June 17 return of the Premier League.

The young midfielder has also been answering questions about his time at the club so far and his life.

When asked which Tottenham players have helped him settle in north London, he said on the club's Twitter channel: "It was Lucas [Moura] and Eric [Dier] because both of them speak Portuguese and they help me a lot."

He found it difficult to name his favourite thing he's experienced so far at the north London club, explaining: "I can't tell you my favourite thing at Tottenham because I really like everything in Tottenham so I'm enjoying it a lot."

On his inspirations growing up, Gedson, who speaks fluent English, said: "For me it was my father and my mother because both of them were always working hard to give me and my sister everything."

The funniest players at Tottenham according to the Portuguese are Son Heung-min and Serge Aurier because they are "always joking" and that he is yet to decide who is the best at the club at playing FIFA because he has not played everyone yet.

On how he kept himself entertained during lockdown, Gedson explained: "I tried to do different things at home, like play basketball, playing video games, using the gym and resting in the cinema room."
