Gedson Fernandes linked, Gylfi Sigurdsson exit and other Everton transfer rumours rated

With the Merseyside derby out of the way, perhaps now Carlo Ancelotti will talk about transfers?

The Italian is expected to sit down with Marcel Brands this week to draw up an action plan for the window.

With several players already being linked with a move to the Blues, we've rated all the latest rumours for you.

Gedson Fernandes

Who?

Portuguese international Gedson Fernandes. The highly rated Benfica midfielder has a number of admirers and is still only 20. His versatility means he can play as either a central midfielder or on the right wing.

Where?

The Telegraph claim Everton are set to rival West Ham who had initially inquired about taking the midfielder on loan. David Ornstein thinks the Blues have stolen a march on David Moyes' side.

What?

After a falling out with Benfica manager Bruno Lage, Fernandes has barely featured for the Portuguese side this season so an exit seems likely. The youngster has a release clause of £102m but the Blues are thought to value him at £34m. If a move suits both the club and player than Benfica may have to lower their asking price.

Gylfi Sigurdsson

Who?

Everton's No.10 who has struggled to hit form this season.

Where?

Football Insider claim Ancelotti is ready to listen to offers for the Icelandic international after another poor performance against Liverpool yesterday.

What?

Sigurdsson hasn't been at his best this season but it would be surprising to see him leave in this window unless Ancelotti brings in reinforcements in midfield. The Blues are already short in that department after injuries to Andrew Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin.

Reinier Jesus Carvalho

Who?

Flamengo teenager Reinier who is strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Where?

The Daily Star claim the Blues made a £25m bit for the Brazilian in August which was rejected by his club. After Everton's offer they tried to install a release clause in his contract but the youngster refused to sign. That meant they were helpless but to accept Madrid's bid of £21m, less than that of Everton's.

What?

It's possible Everton made an offer for the youngster back in the summer but he looks certain to seal a move to the Bernabeu. At the age of 17, Reinier would have been a player for the future rather than for the now.
