Gedlich Racing launches GT summer series for 2026

Gedlich Racing has launched a summer racing series for 2026, the championship’s first foray beyond its winter series programme.

Following the success of the GT winter series, Gedlich will run its blend of multi-class GT action for both professional drivers and amateurs alike.

“We aim to deliver a comparable package with the GT summer series project,” Markus Gedlich, CEO and founder of Gedlich Racing, said. “We are excited to welcome teams familiar to Gedlich Racing, as well as new competitors, into the inaugural GT summer series in 2026.”

The series will be open to GT3 and GT4 machinery, plus a selection of single-make categories including Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Ferrari Challenge, Porsche Cup, and the McLaren Trophy. As in its winter counterpart, Gedlich will also cater to cars that fall outside traditional class definitions through the GTX and Cup X categories, ensuring a broad and competitive grid.

The race weekend format will mirror the winter series, with two 30-minute sprint races and a 50-minute pitstop endurance race, as well as 15-minute qualifying sessions and practice sessions. Dedicated test days will also be made available.

Gedlich has set per-event entries at €4,000, while the 2026 calendar is mostly based across Germany.
