Gears of War Reloaded is set to be the biggest overhaul of the original game released over two decades ago, and there are only a few days left until its release.
Currently available for pre-order, the remastered edition is a complete retelling of the first game that kicked off the franchise. If you're an existing Xbox Game Pass member, you're automatically entitled to the game on the first day of launch.

Gears of War Reloaded launches globally on Aug. 26. There are no separate editions or early access. Everyone (whether they own a separate copy or play via Game Pass) will start at the same time. If you're unsure of the time, the countdown below will help you stay on track.
The countdown is a direct replica of the official variant available on the Xbox app. At the time of writing, there doesn't appear to be any regional launch. In simpler terms, you can't change the time on your console to play early.

Gears of War Reloaded features
The Reloaded version is a complete overhaul from the ground up, but it will follow the same storyline. However, we will have immediate access to all post-launch content that was added over the years. This includes a bonus campaign act, characters, cosmetics, and multiplayer maps at no extra cost.
A dual control system will allow veterans to enjoy the classic feel, while beginners can enjoy the new system more. There will be cross-play on all platforms and cross-progression to ease your in-game adventures. Finally, expect to enjoy in-game textures and visuals in 4K with ultrawide support, 7.1 surround sound, and variable refresh rate that supports up to 144 FPS in multiplayer.
