GEA Signs Agreements with World's Largest Entertainment Firms

The Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) signed a number of agreements with the largest entertainment companies during a conference held in Los Angeles on Wednesday under the title "The Future of Entertainment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia", as part of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to the US.

The first agreement was concluded between MBC Group and Cirque du Soleil, which will make a show for the first time in the Kingdom during the National Day events to be organized by GEA, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

The second agreement represents a long-term partnership with Feld Entertainment which will produce global events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, SPA said.

According to the state-run agency, the third agreement was signed with National Geographic which will collaborate with GEA and KBW Ventures to build different cities by VR.

The fourth agreement was struck with IMG, the leader in the field of events, sports, media, and fashion, SPA said.

GEA’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Ahmed al-Khatib stressed that the agreements fall in line with the importance of the entertainment sector in Saudi Arabia and investment opportunities in it.
