With a market cap of $319.1 billion, GE Aerospace (GE) is a global leader in designing, developing, and producing jet engines, components, and integrated systems for commercial, business, and defense aircraft. The Evendale, Ohio-based company is expected to announce its fiscal Q3 2025 earnings results before the market opens on Tuesday, Oct. 21. Ahead of this event, analysts forecast GE Aerospace to report an adjusted EPS of $1.45, a 26.1% increase from $1.15 in the year-ago quarter. It has surpassed Wall Street's earnings estimates in the last four quarters.
For fiscal 2025, analysts predict GE to report an adjusted EPS of $5.87, a growth of 27.6% from $4.60 in fiscal 2024.
Shares of GE Aerospace have surged 60.6% over the past 52 weeks, outperforming both the S&P 500 Index's ($SPX) 17.6% gain and the Industrial Select Sector SPDR Fund's (XLI) 14% return over the same period.
Shares of GE Aerospace fell 2.2% on Jul. 17 despite beating Q2 2025 earnings expectations. While adjusted EPS of $1.66 topped estimates and revenues rose 21% year-over-year to $11 billion, operating margin slipped 10 basis points to 23% due to a 22.8% surge in cost of sales. Additionally, cash and equivalents declined to $10.9 billion from $13.6 billion at year-end 2024, raising concerns.
Analysts' consensus view on GE stock is bullish, with an overall "Strong Buy" rating. Among 21 analysts covering the stock, 15 suggest a "Strong Buy," two give a "Moderate Buy," and four recommend a "Hold." This configuration is slightly less bullish than three months ago, with 16 analysts suggesting a "Strong Buy."
As of writing, the stock is trading above the average analyst price target of $295.72.
