Students across the country will be receiving their GCSE results on Thursday (August 25). It's a big day for any teenager, but especially for the class of 2022.
They're the first cohort to sit GCSE exams in two years due to disruption from the Coronavirus pandemic. So despite the freedom and excitement of the summer holidays, many people will be anxiously awaiting their grades.
Regulators Ofqual said that GCSE results this summer will 'reflect a midpoint between summer 2019 and 2021.' They added that grades 'will be higher than when summer exams were last sat, but lower than in 2021, when grades were awarded by teacher assessment.'

"Schools’ and colleges’ results are highly likely to be lower than in 2021 when exams did not go ahead. Very few schools or colleges, if any, will get higher results than in 2021," Ofqual said.
Students should expect to receive their results on Thursday from 8am and arrangements should already be in place with the respective student's school to pick up the results in person. However, if you can't make it to the school, pupils should ask their school beforehand if they can either check their results online or see if another person can pick them up on their behalf.
Pupils who studied other qualifications such as BTEC First, Technical and Tech Awards will also receive their results at the same time as GCSE students. Here is where and when you can find the GCSE boundaries for this year's summer exams.
Pearson Edexcel, CiDA, DiDA and BTEC
The grade boundaries for GCSE, BTEC Tech Awards, BTEC Firsts and other Level 1 and 2 qualifications are available here at 8.00am on Thursday August 25 2022.
AQA
The GCSE grade boundaries are available here at 8am on Thursday 25 August 2022.
OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA)
The grade boundaries for June 2022 exams will be released at 8am on Thursday 25 August 2022 and can be found here.
CCEA
