It is a big day for school leavers as they found out if those days and nights revising for their exams has paid off.
Thursday, August 22 marks GCSE results day with thousands of students up and down the country heading to their school or college to find out if they have got the grades they hoped for to move on to their next step.
Whether that be sixth form, college or an apprenticeship, teens will be wanting to celebrate their impending futures.
Students will generally be able to collect their results from their school or college in the morning but check with your own institution as to what time they will be open from.
Just like with A level grade boundaries, the grading system for GCSE's were released in advance of results day but this was stopped to avoid unnecessary stress for students.
Instead, they will be released from 6am on results day itself.
Each individual exam board will separately publish their grade boundaries and will be found on their websites.
