Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Dr. Nayef al-Hajraf condemned on Wednesday the terrorist attack carried out by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen against Saudi Arabia’s Abha international airport.
Hajraf said the cowardly attack is a “war crime “that jeopardized the lives of civilians, urging that the “terrorists be held accountable in line with international humanitarian law.”
He hailed the vigilance to the Saudi-led Arab coalition forces and their success in containing a fire that broke out at a passenger plane because of the attack.
He underscored the solidarity of the GCC with the Kingdom, saying it supports all the measures it takes to defend its territories and preserve the security and safety of its citizens and residents.
