Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif Al Zayani received in Riyadh on Monday United Nations envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, to discuss the latest developments in the war-torn country.
The officials addressed the envoy’s efforts with Yemeni parties to resume political consultations to reach a solution that would end the conflict in line with the Gulf initiative, national dialogue outcomes and UN Security Council resolution 2216.
They also tackled the UN’s efforts to implement the December 2018 Stockholm agreement and ways to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to Yemeni people throughout the country.
