The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) slammed on Monday the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted a petroleum products distribution station in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah city.
Secretary-General Dr. Nayef al-Hajraf said: “The repeated and deliberate terrorist attacks not only target Saudi Arabia, but the security and stability of the entire Gulf region.”
The attacks are a flagrant violation of international laws and norms that bar the targeting of civilians, he added.
He stressed that the GCC stands by Saudi Arabia “in all the measures it takes to safeguard its security and stability and safety of its citizens and residents.”
Hajraf called on the international community to “assume its responsibilities and firmly stand against the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen and their ongoing attempts to destabilize the region.”
