GBX ravers 'attacked' at Glasgow Hilton as cops arrest man

A man has been arrested after punters were 'attacked' at a GBX event in Glasgow.

Police raced to the Hilton Hotel on William street after the alarm was raised at 12.40am on Monday.

Officers were called after reports of people at the event, with entertainment from Radio Clyde DJ, George Bowie .

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Record: "Officers were called to a premises on William Street, Glasgow, at around 12.40am on Monday, December 16 after a number of people reported being assaulted.  

"There were no injuries.

"A 30-year-old man was charged in connection with the incident.

"A report will submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."

A Hilton Glasgow spokesperson said : “The wellbeing and safety of our Guests and Team Members is of paramount importance to us and our security team immediately alerted the police following the incident. 

“Any further enquiries should be directed to the police."
