GBM's Ranvir Singh brands Ben Shephard a 'wimp' after Strictly Come Dancing dig

Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh called her co-host Ben Shephard a "wimp" as they talked about her stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

Revealing that Ranvir's Strictly partner, Giovanni Pernice, would be appearing on the ITV show, the conversation turned to Ranvir's efforts on the dance floor.

Confirming that the BBC show should be returning to some form of normality later this year with a live audience, Richard Arnold joked: "Well, you know how you cruised through it last year without any nerves because there was never anyone watching, no one was there..."

Ranvir, 43, butted in: "There was only 11 million people watching, mind you!" to which Richard replied: "Yeah at home."

The Mirror reports that Ben, 46, continued to tease mum-of-one Ranvir and joked: "They said it was the easiest year ever to do it..."

Ranvir quipped back: "Who said that? You? The one who protests he’s never gonna go on it!

"That person? The one who’s a wimp? Is it that one saying that?"

Ranvir then added: "I’m not going to ruin any of the magic of Strictly because you really don’t want to know the truth of what it’s like!"

As various snaps of her during her stint flashed up on the screen, she admitted: "Can you get that picture off the screen because it gives me the heebie-jeebies!"

Ranvir also claimed that Strictly bosses have been "after Ben for years" and suggested that his wife Annie might feel more comfortable if he is paired with a male pro in order to avoid the dreaded Strictly curse.
