Police have arrested a man after a reported assault left someone with a suspected broken jaw and nose in Edwalton.

The alleged attack took place in Spinney Close at 2.50am on Saturday, November 27, and reportedly also left the victim with swelling and bruising to the face.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

He has since been bailed with conditions, pending further enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty attack on the victim which has left him with injuries to his face including a potentially broken jaw.

“We have arrested a man in connection with this incident but our investigation is still continuing and we would like to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious.

“We would like to appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch with us as any information or CCTV footage will help us piece together the facts of what happened.”

Anyone with any information or who may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 85 of 27 November 2021.
