GB News viewers urge Eamonn Holmes to stop the Phillip Schofield 'bullying' comments

Since former This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield quit the ITV daytime show and then revealed he had an affair with a younger male colleague, former co-host Eamonn Holmes has been very vocal with his opinions on him.

But now viewers of GB News - where Eamonn is now a presenter - have urged him to stop his constant attacks on Schofield. Eamonn had some strong words to say again during GB News on Monday, June 5. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.

He ended his latest tirade - which came just before Holly Willoughby delivered her own statement as she returned to This Morning - by saying: "Like everybody else he lied to me, I was happy to stand by him until I found out that he was lying... This isn’t about him being gay, not in the slightest."

As YorkshireLive reported, many of Eamonn's Instagram followers took to his page to have their say. One said: “I can’t believe people talk this way about another human being the way they do in this cowardly anonymous way, it’s still bullying. He has made a mistake and we are all allowed to be forgiven. As for Eamonn he’s practically led the way to make sure Phillip Schofield goes down! A kind person would not be capable of that. It’s disgusting and frightening the way he has spouted off. We all know it’s because he’s mad at ITV.”

Another added: “I think you are a DISGRACE. Stop for one moment and think of what you are doing and the impact this may have on Phillip’s wife, daughters and his elderly mother. My god do you have no conscience??? I cannot believe what you have done and what you continue to do.”

A third said: “You're coming across as a massive bully. Saying it once is enough we don’t need to keep seeing your name with a new comment everyday. Becoming boring.” A fourth added: “Hope you are going to be a good person today, instead of the vindictive, jealous, bully you have become.”
