Gaz Beadle's son Chester was rushed to hospital during a gender reveal party thrown for the star's pregnant wife Emma McVey.
The couple are expecting their second child together and they celebrated with a bash to reveal they are having a baby girl.
However, the party got cut short when their son Chester, 17 months, fell ill.
Emma left the bash and rushed the youngster to hospital, where he was diagnosed with an ear infection and a bladder infection."
In a post on Instagram , Emma hot back at trolls who branded her an over-cautious mother.
She wrote: "For all the absolute idiots trying to give me grief.
"I took Chester to the doctors Monday, but did they listen? No. I’m just an over-cautious mum. ‘He has a slight ear infection but doesn’t need antibiotics’.
"Yesterday I knew he was’t right, he has an ear infection and bladder infection so finally letting us have antibiotics.
“He was running around yesterday and everyone thought he was fine, I’m not stupid and I know my child.
"He was distracted, and that’s why he seemed ‘fine’.
"So no I didn’t make him stay at the party, I left my own party before everyone else to get him properly checked.”
Emma and former Geordie Shore star Gaz 31, welcomed son Chester in January 2018.
They recently announced they are having baby number two, and their gender reveal bash confirmed it's a girl.
A family video of the event shows Gaz holding up a confetti cannon and counting down from five as Emma and Chester stood nearby.
Gaz let off the party stick and a shower of pink confetti shot into the air - confirming the couple are going to have a baby girl.
