Gayle King once confronted 50 Cent for 'talking s***' about Oprah, rapper claims

50 Cent has revealed that Gayle King once confronted him at a black tie event for “talking s***” about Oprah Winfrey.

In an extract from his upcoming autobiography Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarterseen by Page Six, the rapper recalls TV host King approaching him at a gala for Bette Midler’s charity foundation to talk about his history of criticising Winfrey.

“Gayle is the real deal – a very sophisticated, secure, and smart lady,” 50 Cent wrote.

“She’s never afraid of a situation… so she marched right up to me and basically said, ‘Why you talkin’ s*** about my girl?’”

The rapper states that the pair talked their issues out, but added that he often uses arguments with his fellow celebrities as a publicity “strategy” to keep people talking about him.

He claims to have told King: “I’d love to be Oprah’s friend, but if we can’t be friends, could we at least be enemies?”

In December, 50 Cent reignited his feud with Winfrey after claiming that the TV personality only criticises black men involved in the #MeToo scandal.

“I don’t understand why Oprah is going after black men,” the rapper wrote, alongside a photo of both Winfrey and record executive Russell Simmons.

Winfrey is producing a documentary about the allegations of sexual assault against record executive Simmons.

“No Harvey Weinstein, no Epstein, just Michael Jackson and Russell Simmons, this s*** is sad,” he continued.

“These documentaries are publicly convicting their targets, it makes them guilty till proven innocent.”
