New times for the Gay Times, which has relaunched the magazine and website and held a party to celebrate. It went back to its roots by hosting the event in its old stomping ground of Camden in London, where the magazine’s original office was when it launched in 1984. Guests included Katie Price, Joe McElderry, entrepreneur Ivan Massow and Doctor Who actor Andrew Hayden-Smith. Explaining the sleek new redesign, editor Darren Scott, GT’s editor said: “GT hit the big 3-0 last year and we decided it was time for a new look to mark the occasion.” Monkey particularly enjoyed the venue – the exotic South African restaurant Shaka Zulu – which made Monkey feel right at home.
