Oxford United fans have responded to speculation that Nottingham Forest could be lining up a £2m bid for Gavin Whyte.
Northern Ireland winger Whyte appears to be on the radar of the Championship club.
And it's easy to see why.
Since moving to Oxford from Crusaders last summer, Whyte has featured in 36 games, scoring seven goals and adding five assists in League One.
Forest are looking to bolster their squad following a disappointing season that saw them finish ninth in the Championship.
Whyte is currently on international duty with Northern Ireland ahead of their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Estonia and Belarus.
Where he will kick-off next season remains to be seen, but Oxford's fans aren't willing to part with the 23-year-old star for £2m.
@madonox86 tweeted: "NFFC hahaha can and will do better 2million for full international jog on."
@OUFCAddict added: "Come back to us with 5/6 mill all upfront Current international. Pacey with 2 years on contract."
Meanwhile, @Jasperjar1 said: "Absolute b****x fills your time line, £2m?? Ha ha ha ha ha!!! Wait 12 months and you know he wil go for nearer £8m, just look at the recent transfer of players that are of similar impact."
@Oufcblaze1 tweeted: "Are u joking me."
@llowdyw_20 added: "£2m? They can f**k off, £5m and no less."
