Gavin Rossdale has spoken out about his divorce from Gwen Stefani labelling it as his "most embarrassing moment".
The 54-year-old frontman of rock band Bush split from No Doubt singer Gwen in 2015 and the divorce was a particularly nasty fallout.
The pair had been married for 13 years when their marriage was rocked by an alleged cheating scandal.
It was reported that Gavin was involved with their nanny and the they went through a very public break-up.
Speaking to The Guardian, Gavin described his divorce as "embarrassing" and said that the moment was a "gross and lopsided spectre of the crumbling of my marriage".
Gavin and Gwen are on a better footing at the moment as they successfully co-parent their sons, Kingston, 14, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, 6.
This may be down to the pair finding happiness, with Gavin saying that he felt "happiest" in his life last year when he spent time with his three boys and his 31-year-old daughter, model Daisy Lowe.
Speaking about the moment, Gavin said: "Last year, when I had all four kids - Daisy, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo - staying with me on my birthday. It was magical."
Gavin is not alone in his assumption about the split from Gwen as she has also described feeling "embarrassed" by their divorce.
The Voice US judge is now happy with Blake Shelton but she once spoke about her failed marriage to Gavin in not so glowing terms.
During a 2016 interview with Glamour, Gwen revealed: "I don't think you'll talk to one person who didn't make it in a marriage who's not gonna feel that way.
"The intention of being married is the vow, right? You want to put everything into it to make it a success."
The 50-year-old singer was full of praise for her current partner and praised him to the hilt on Father's Day.
She paid tribute to Blake in an Instagram post, writing: "happy father's day @blakeshelton thank u for helping me raise these boys!!"
