Gavin James helped raise over €160,000 for ALONE following his performance on the Late Late show last weekend.
The singer, 28, appeared on the Friday night show alongside host Miriam O’Callaghan to perform Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
He also reached out to viewers to donate anything they could to the Irish charity, which supports older people at home.
Following the acoustic performance, ALONE Ireland have revealed they have received a staggering number of donations.
Taking to social media, the singer said he was overwhelmed by the response.
He said: “I’m so amazed at the generosity of our country.
“Even when everything seems a bleak, we still lend a helping hand. You’re all amazing.”
The Dubliner went on to encourage his fans to go one step further and aim to reach the 200,000 mark.
O’Callaghan, who hosted the show responded: “You were superb Gavin. Thank you so much for being there.
“You raised an incredible amount of money for ALONE. Forever grateful.”
