Gavin Cromwell thinks Ming Dynasty could be primed for big run in Galway Hurdle

Gavin Cromwell thinks Ming Dynasty could be primed for a big run in the Galway Hurdle tomorrow.

The seven-year-old has relished the summer ground, winning two of his last three starts for the Meath handler.

But Cromwell is now dreaming of scooping one of the biggest pots in Irish racing at Ballybrit.

The BETDAQ ambassador said: "I’m quietly hopeful that Ming Dynasty will run a big race in the Galway Hurdle on Thursday.

"It’s obviously an incredibly competitive handicap, but the race should be run to suit and he’s improved hugely since we gave him a mid-season break, so with a bit of luck he can get himself involved.

"Of my other runners, Bentham should run well in the bumper on Sunday, the final race of the meeting. He won well the last day at Bellewstown and comes here in good form."

Cromwell enjoyed the greatest day of his training career this March when Espoir D'Allen ran out an impressive winner of the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

And the son of Voix Du Nord is said to be in fine fettle with all roads leading back to the Cotswolds.

"He’s in great form. He hasn’t actually come back into the yard yet, but I went to see him the other day and he looked in fantastic order.

"We haven’t made any plans yet on where he’ll start, but his whole season will be geared around a tilt at defending the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in March."
