Gavin and Stacey fans think they've spotted couple's son in Christmas trailer

It's good to have the gang back together again.

Gavin and Stacey is returning for an all-new Christmas special this month with a brand new script from writers/stars James Corden and Ruth Jones.

Everyone is heading to Wales to celebrate the festive season, including Gavin ( Matthew Horne ) and Stacey ( Joanna Page ) themselves, but fans think they've noticed a new addition in the trailer.

Of course, this would be the couple's young son, who fans think they have spotted in a shot hugging his grandmother, Pam (Alison Steadman).

(BBC)

One fan wrote on Twitter : "OH. MY. GOD. THE KID HUGGING PAM IS EITHER NESSA AND SMITHY’S NEIL OR GAVIN AND STACEY’S SMALL AND HOW IS HE SO OLD?!"

Another said: "Hang on. Is that boy running and hugging Pam Neil the baby or something is it Gavin and Stacey’s kid?"

Meanwhile, another wrote: "Wait! Pam seems to be hugging a boy. Does that mean that Gavin and Stacey had a son?!?!"

A different viewer said: "THEY HAD A SON ??? OR BABY NEIL?? I am so excited #GavinandStacey "

Finally, one concluded: "Gavin and stacey have now got a 10 year old son OMG"

Yep, it's happened!

The special will also see Corden and Jones reprise their roles as Smithy and Nessa, respectively, with their child too, along with returns for Rob Brydon and Larry Lamb.

We're feeling more Christmassy already.

Gavin and Stacey return on Christmas Day 2019.
