On first glance, the corner for Walsall's equaliser was too firmly struck for him to come out and punch. Will be furious with his defenders regardless for allowing another free header, not learning from the mistakes of Saturday.
His anticipation and positioning was poor for the second goal. Made one good penalty save.
Alfie Kilgour - 6
Looked much more comfortable on the right of defence and won the lion's share of his duels.
Cian Harries - 5
Passed the ball well for the most part and handled his defensive duels well. Poor penalty in the shootout.
Michael Kelly - 5
Was the chief communicator in the back three and got stuck in. Had some testing moments did OK. Poor spot kick left Rovers' playing catch-up for the bonus point.
Josh Hare - 6
Did his defensive duties pretty well but wasn't given the opportunity to attack as much as he would have liked. Good penalty.
David Tutonda - 6
Showed his skills as a ball carrier and wasn't fazed when under pressure on the ball in his own half. Passing was a bit wayward.
Tom Mehew - 7
Opening the scoring with a strike his father – Gas legend David Mehew – would be proud of. Should have had a second before half time, but his effort on that occasion was tame. Less involved in the second half.
Jack Baldwin - 5
Mixed bag in midfield playing out of position. Picked some lovely passes, but dawdled on other occasions and was almost punished for a couple of sloppy moments.
Zain Walker - 5
Plenty of effort, but didn't make his moments on the ball count.
Cameron Hargreaves - 6
Covered the grass with his usual exuberance. Unlucky not to register an assist with Mehew failing to convert a clear-cut chance from his through ball.
Jonah Ayunga - 7
Gave the defenders a rough ride as he exerted his physicality up top. Has a knack of creating chances for himself, but couldn't find the finish in the first-half. That changed in the second period, finishing well to make it 2-2 from 18 yards. Scored in the shootout.
