Multiple problems are affecting key Transport for London and National Rail services on Tuesday afternoon.
As of 1.50pm, the Elizabeth line was suffering severe disruption between Paddington and Heathrow due to a faulty train at Hayes and Harlington.
Meanwhile, the Tube’s Metropolitan line was suspended between Baker Street and Aldgate due to a fire alert at Farringdon.
On the Overground, there were severe delays on the Suffragette line due to a faulty train at Woodgrange Park.
Some National Rail services were also disrupted with an electrical supply failure shutting some lines between Waterloo and Clapham Junction.
And trains in and out of Euston were also facing disruption due to a number of issues affecting the network.

Electricity supply issue at London Waterloo
15:28 , Megan HoweSouth Western Railway are currently dealing with an electricity supply problem affecting parts of the railway near London Waterloo and Vauxhall.
This issue means some lines towards Clapham Junction are disrupted, and Platform 13 at London Waterloo will be out of use.
Engineers are currently on site and trying to fix the issue.
Train services may be delayed, revised or cancelled at short notice as a result.
Severe delays on the Suffragette line

Severe delays on the Metropolitan and Circle lines due to an earlier fire alert

From Heathrow Terminal 5, trains are departing at 12 and 42 minutes past the hour.

Elizabeth line delays

According to TfL, the Lizzie line is severely delayed between Paddington and Reading and Paddington and Heathrow, due to a faulty train at Hayes and Harlington.
Lines reopen but major disruption expected until 2pm

However, trains running between Haywards Heath and Gatwick Airport are still subject to cancellations and delays of up to 40 minutes.

Emergency services respond to 'casualty on the tracks'
10:28 , Megan HoweBritish Transport Police were called to the railway line close to Balcombe station earlier this morning to reports of a “casualty on the tracks”.
All lines in the area are currently closed, with trains likely to be cancelled, heavily delayed by up to 60 minutes, or diverted.
A spokesperson said: “We were called to an area of the line close to Balcombe station at around 4.15am today (5 May) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Officers attended along with paramedics but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances leading up to their death.”
Are there any issues on the London Underground?
09:39 , Megan HoweWhile the Overground network is suffering from severe disruption this morning, the Underground network is largely running as usual.
There are minor delays on the Central line between Loughton and Epping as engineers work to fix a signal failure at Debden.
But all other lines are running a good service.

Passengers have been advised to seek alternative routes to complete their journey.
Disruption is expected until this afternoon.

• Services between Littlehampton and London Victoria will run between Littlehampton and Haywards Heath only. This will be an hourly service
• Services between Ore / Eastbourne and London Victoria will run between Ore and Haywards Heath only. This will be an hourly service
• Services between Brighton and Cambridge are suspended
• Gatwick Express services between Brighton and London Victoria will run between Gatwick Airport and London Victoria only
• Services between Brighton and Bedford will run between Brighton and Haywards Heath and Three Bridges and Bedford only
• Services between London Kings Cross and Cambridge will stop at Ashwell & Morden
Fault on a train between Watford and Clapham Junction causing delays

Passengers travelling between these stations, or heading to London Euston, have been warned to expect delays and cancellations.
Trains running to or from these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.
This is expected until 10am.

What has Network Rail advised?
08:36 , Megan HoweNetwork Rail is advising passengers travelling on the affected lines to delay their travel until later today, if possible.
For passengers already on route or on a train, your journey will take longer than usual.
Trains may be subject to delays and cancellations as some services will only run on part of their normal routes. This may mean that passengers need to use an alternative method of transport to get to their destination.
Passengers have been advised to allow at least an extra 60 minutes to complete their journey.
What routes are affected by the emergency incident?

Southern services between Eastbourne and Haywards Heath, Littlehampton and London Victoria or London Bridge, and also between Brighton and London Victoria have also been impacted.
And Thameslink services between Brighton and Gatwick Airport, and also between Haywards Heath and Bedford have been affected.
