Gateway One launches in York as office market buoyed by return to work

More than 14,000 sq ft of redeveloped office space has hit the market in York.

Gateway One is an extensive refurbishment by Helmsley Group, located on Holgate Business Park, to the west of the city centre.

Now launched, and available immediately, the three-storey development is described as offering flexible office space to suit a wide range of occupiers.

George Baines, asset manager at Helmsley Group, said: “With businesses and employees returning to the office the market is now seeing increased demand, which is why we’re delighted to launch Gateway One to market, especially given the scarcity of high-quality office space in York itself.”

It sits by the A1-connecting A59, opening up easy access to the North East and Leeds.

A high level of interest is already reported.

Matthew Tootell, director at Bowcliffe - which is marketing the property jointly with McBeath Property Consultancy, added: “Offering excellent connectivity and responding to consumer demand for more flexible working space, Gateway One provides much needed high quality office space.”

The launch comes after the recent letting of 6,200 sq ft to Reed in Partnership at Helmsley’s Arabesque House development at Monks Cross, York.

Aspect4 managed the refurbishment and Struteco was the main contractor.

Garnett Netherwood was the architect on the scheme.
