A mum is raffling off her home for £2 per ticket in the hope of starting her dream life in Australia.
Dreaming of a new life in Brisbane, Jade Richardson, 27, is raffling off her four-bedroom townhouse in Gateshead which is valued at £200,000.
The lucky winner will be chosen when 200,000 tickets have been sold.
The three-storey Victorian townhouse has a lounge, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and three other bedrooms.
Jade said: “I am currently in the process of applying for permanent residency in Australia and to help things move along I have just put my house up for raffle on Raffall.com.
"I am planning to move to Australia and have started the visa process but it has been put on hold due to Covid-19.
“I was going to rent the house when we thought raffling could benefit someone else as well so I decided to do that instead.
“I saw someone else was doing it in Manchester and started looking into it and thought it was a good idea."
Part of the money will also be donated to the Tiny Lives charity which supported Jade after her daughter, Kilo, was born prematurely 18 months ago.
She said: “My daughter was born 13 weeks early and Tiny Lives at the Royal Victoria Infirmary was a huge part of our lives.
“There was a free cafe and free parking and I really wanted to give back.”
So far 2,000 tickets have been sold for the raffle and Jade hopes more will be purchased in the coming weeks.
The lucky winner will have no mortgage, all solicitors fees paid and a celebratory bottle of champagne on transfer of ownership.
She hopes the decision to raffle off the home will help someone else get on the property ladder.
She added: "Not only will our lives change dramatically, the winner's life and also those individuals that Tiny Lives reaches will be greatly improved too."
