Voters across Gateshead went out to choose who they want to represent them during Thursday's local elections.
Twenty-two of Gateshead's councillor posts are up for grabs.
Gateshead has 66 councillors, three representing each of the 22 wards in the borough. At a local election one seat in every ward is contested.
Each councillor must stand for re-election after four years' service.
The results are expected on Friday, May 3, with the count due to begin at approximately 9.30am.
