Dorothy White’s garden in Gatehouse is looking particularly sunny this year.
Although she regularly grows sunflowers, she has been left stunned by the number of heads they have – with one flower in particular almost making it into double figures.
Dorothy, who lives in Riverbank, said: “I’ve always had sunflowers with feeding the birds.
“This year we just left them but I noticed some had quite a lot of heads.
“Theres one with nine heads and others with six or seven.”
