Gatehouse of Fleet woman taking part in Glasgow Kilt Walk for Ataxia UK

A woman is hoping to raise funds and awareness for a charity that helps people with a neurological condition by taking part in the Glasgow Kilt Walk.

Taryn Cotton suffers from cerebellar ataxia and has to use a wheelchair as she has problems with her mobility and balance.

On Sunday, April 28, she’ll be taking on the Kilt Walk’s six-mile Wee Wander from Dumbarton’s Levengrove Park to the shores of Loch Lomond in aid of Ataxia UK.

Taryn, 32, said: “They really need awareness and funds in order for them to achieve the goal of finding a treatment for ataxia by 2020.

“My PA, her partner and hopefully Archie the ex-assistance dog will be kiltwalking with me, too.

"It’s the Wee Wander — but it is still six miles!”

Anyone who would like to support Taryn can do so by going to https://glasgowkiltwalk2019.everydayhero.com/uk/taryn .
