Young people at the Gatehouse Drop-in are a step closer to their fundraising target for the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.
The kids baked a range of home-made cakes and pastries for sale at their stall outside the Mill on the Fleet on Saturday morning.
Some mums and dads got busy with the flour and eggs as well – and the team effort produced a mouth-watering
array of goodies which were soon snapped up.
A total of £142.45 was raised to take the total to over £400 – more than half way towards the £750 target set for next spring.
Speaking after the sale, Drop-in coordinator Danny Alderslowe said: “We were sold out in an hour.
“All the cakes were baked by young people and some parents.
“They were getting thanks from so many people in the community for doing this.
“Each month we are doing something different to raise money.
“We will be making and selling cakes for Christmas next.”
Danny added: “On behalf of the youths, thanks to all who donated for this really good cause.”
