A gas leak has sparked the closure of a busy route near Aberdeen.
The A96 near Aberdeen has partly been sealed off by emergency services after the incident unfolded.
The road was initially closed on Saturday after the leak and the route heading westbound remains closed on Monday morning, August 30.
The closure is affecting the A96 at Haudagain Roundabout due to a gas leak in the area with locals told to find an alternative route.
However, the eastbound carriageway remains opens for motorists.
In a statement on social media this morning, Traffic Scotland said: "Road remains closed westbound at Haudagain Roundabout due to a gas leak in the area. Eastbound carriageway is open.
"Please #UseAltRoute in the meantime."
