Traffic Edinburgh: Gas services rush to leak on busy Leith junction next to Covid testing site

Gas network services are currently attending to a gas leak in Leith, leading to lengthy traffic delays in the area.

The leak, according to Edinburgh Travel News on Twitter, is at the busy Ferry Road/North Junction Street junction with the right turn onto Coburg Street closed completely.

The junction is next to the area's Covid testing site at Leith Public Library, which is located just off the main junction at 28-30 Ferry Road.

There are other lane restrictions ongoing in the area.

Edinburgh Travel News tweeted at 4.41pm this evening:

"Great Junction Street - SGN are attending to a gas leak at Ferry Road / North Junction Street. The right turn into Coburg Street is to be closed plus other lane restrictions in the area as required."
