Gas leak at Scots Morrisons store sparks emergency response

Fire crews have raced to a Morrisons store in Aberdeen following a suspected gas leak.

Firefighters attended the supermarket in Banchory at around 11am today after reports of the emergency.

It is not known if there has been any injuries or if the store has been evacuated.

Scottish Fire and Rescue are currently on the scene dealing with the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We received a report of a gas leak at a Morrisons in Banchory shortly before 11am.

"There was no police requirement and the SFRS are dealing with the incident."

Scottish Fire and Rescue has been contacted for comment.
