Gary Woodland secured his U.S. Open win with a gutsy shot that left everyone in awe

Gary Woodland won the 2019 U.S. Open mostly because of his solid play all weekend long but also because the incredibly perfect/gutsy shot that he hit on the 71st hole to help lock up the victory.

And boy did he absolutely pull it off in stunning style.

After hitting his tee shot on the right side of the iconic 17th green, he had to hit a chip shot from the green all the way across the other side to save par.

With all the pressure in the golfing world on his shoulders, he clipped it perfectly off the tight lie, got a nice hop, and rolled it close to the hole. He sank the par putt and headed to the 72nd hole with a two-stroke lead… where he added to it with a dramatic birdie for a 3-stroke win at Pebble Beach.
