Gary Speed's widow Louise marries property developer in stunning ceremony

Gary Speed's widow has remarried 10 years after the death of the Wales football legend.

Mother-of-two Louise married businessman Quinton Bird at a stunning ceremony at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire last week.

The pair have been business partners for six years, and are both directors of successful new build and renovation company Bow Property Development in Chester.

The couple were married during a fairytale ceremony in a room filled with white hydrangeas and roses.

Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer, who was a close friend of Gary, was one of those to attend, with guests reportedly treated to four-tier £900 cake, as well as live magic and music.

Louise revealed she had found love in a recent interview with the Daily Mail, which marked the tenth anniversary of Gary's death, and opened up on the years of unhappiness she'd experienced on the back of the former Wales manager's death.

She said at the time: "It was like being in the worst nightmare possible. There were no answers and no Gary walking through the door again. Nothing was ever going to be right again.

"I was trudging through life, just functioning. If I could have been anybody else apart from me, for a long time, I would have happily taken it.

"But we are 10 years on now. It's a cliché but time is a healer even if it takes years. I have learned that life can be good again, can be great again."

In photographs from the big day, Louise is pictured in a white lace gown with intricate detailing across the sleeves and train, with the ceremony taking place in a room filled with white hydrangeas and roses.

Explaining how they'd contributed to the occasion, award-winning wedding planner Charlotte Dodd of Charlotte Elise in Neston, Cheshire, told the Mail : "Our final wedding of 2021 was held at the beautiful Peckforton Castle on Thursday 16 December.

"Our clients Louise and Quinton had their ceremony in front of this archway dressed with incredible white flowers from Red Floral.

"We can't wait to share more images from this day, the white florals with lots of candlelight and gold metallic touches looked amazing and the perfect setting for a December wedding."
