Gary Neville tells Manchester United how to beat Liverpool FC as he mocks Jamie Carragher

Gary Neville has mocked Jamie Carragher as he encouraged his former team to go to Anfield and cause an upset against Liverpool on Sunday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side go to Anfield looking to be the first team to beat Liverpool in the league since April 2017 and it's not going to be an easy task. Jurgen Klopp's league leaders have only dropped two points all season and that came against United at Old Trafford back in October and Neville has some advice for his former club ahead of Sunday's clash.

He tweeted: "Cant wait for Sunday and ending this run!! Just need our strikers to get across the near post on crosses and attack the ball in the 6 yard box like this beaut did all those years ago!"

Alongside the words he tweeted a link to a video of Carragher's two own goals that he scored in United's 3-2 victory against Liverpool back in the 1999/00 season.

And that wasn't the only thought the former United defender had ahead of the crunch clash at the weekend. The former right back took to Twitter after another impressive Brandon Williams performance.

The teenager continues to excel having pushed into the first team this season and was dominant again against Wolves in the FA Cup third round replay and Neville liked what he saw.

"I like Brandon Williams," Neville said.

"What I like about him specifically is he has that look in his eye of someone that would eat his opponents nose to win the match. Keep going kid! Oh he can play football too [sic], which is always a bonus."
